ORIGINAL ALSO AVAILABLE - EMAIL to INQUIRE: cbukster123@yahoo.com This is a watercolor of the Meadowport Arch in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. This was the main route Karen and I would take on our way to the Long Meadow for a picnic, frisbee toss or just a quiet walk through the park. Completed in 1970 by Vaux & Olmsted, the arch is made of limestone, and has a unique double openingĀ onto the Long Meadow, giving the traveler a choice of which way to go in his/her journey through the park. The 100-foot tunnel has benches built into both sides, and a cedar sheathed ceiling, with paneling covering the entire surface. Quite the experience to transverse such an historic work of art.
