The tablet reads: "IN REMEMBERANCE OF / THEODORE ROOSEVELT / THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA / OF THE PROSPECT HEIGHTS DISTRICT / PLANTED THESE TREES / 1919." We have enjoyed so many days walking and relaxing on a picnic blanket in the Long Meadow.
